A personal note from Kushal Kapoor
I’m Kushal. I’m building MAY I HOSPITALITY to help people communicate with care, work better together, and bring a little more humanity to everyday service.
A person behind
the profession.
My path into hospitality began in Vadodara, India. Hotel management opened a door to working with guests and learning from teams in India and the United States. Along the way, I came to value the people who take the time to teach, support, and listen.
MAY I HOSPITALITY grows from that journey. I want to share practical ways to communicate with guests, support colleagues, and take responsibility for our work. This is also a place for my writing about life, learning, and the values we carry into what we do.

04 / Notes along the way
Short thoughts on service and responsibility, alongside my personal reflections inspired by the Bhagavad Gita.
A kind tone can make a difficult conversation easier. A clear next step helps the other person know where they stand.
When a guest is waiting, explain what you can do, who will take responsibility, and when you can provide an update. Keep the commitment realistic. If something changes, tell them.
Care becomes useful when it gives someone a little less uncertainty to carry.
A thoughtful handover is a small act of respect for both a colleague and a guest. It gives the next person enough context to continue the work.
What happened? What was promised? What still needs attention? Who is responsible for the next step?
These questions make a useful starting point. Share the information needed for the task, while respecting the guest’s privacy. Good teamwork depends on what we make easier for one another.
One idea I return to in the Bhagavad Gita is responsible action without becoming consumed by its rewards. In my own reflection on work, this is an invitation to care about the quality of my effort while accepting that I cannot control every outcome.
We can prepare, listen, act honestly, and learn from what happens. We can take results seriously without making them the whole measure of a person.
A personal interpretation for reflection, rather than a quotation or translation of scripture.
